Flagstaff Summers!

My parents and sister came to visit us for the day last Friday to get out of the heat.  Emma and Grandpa Truck's favorite movie to watch together is Cars.  When Cars 2 came out, Emma naturally wanted Grandpa Truck to take her to see it.  She loved the movie until she fell asleep during the last five minutes.  :)

If you didn't see on Facebook, Emma had this really nasty growth on her arm.  Almost a week ago we had it removed.  It was beyond traumatic for the both of us.  Luckily, Ammon was there to help calm us down.  :)  Ammon held Emma, the nurse held her arm, and the doctor cut it out and stitched it up.  My job was to not look, and to try to distract Emma from looking.  I bought her a new toy just for the event.  It worked until the numbing shot (which was the first thing the doctor did).  Emma FREAKED out.  It literally took all of us to pin her down to hold her still.  I made the mistake of looking while the doctor was stitching her up.  I got all nauseous and dizzy.  The doctor only got four stitches in, but thought that would be good enough.  Hopefully it heals okay.  The next tricky part has been not getting the stitches wet, but at least they are dissolvable and we don't have to go through the trauma of taking them out!  We're still waiting for the pathology report to tell us what it is.  We'll keep you posted!

We LOVE Summers and Saturdays in Flagstaff!!  After a really crazy week for all three of us, we decided to enjoy the outdoors.

There was free event at Wheeler Park that had all types of vehicles from ambulances to military trucks and cop cars to life-flight helicopters.  Emma love love loved it!

The lovely Lake Mary is only 10 minutes from our house.  We visit occasionally to enjoy the scenery and to throw rocks into the water.  :)  It's gorgeous at sunset!

My 17 weeks belly shot...did I mention I'm pregnant?  :)  After two devastating miscarriages, this baby seems to be doing just fine.  We have an ultrasound on August 9th to determine the gender and to see if everything is going well.  There have been lots of fasting and prayers on this baby's behalf.  Clearly, they have all been answered so far...here's to a happy and healthy rest of the pregnancy!
